Even though State Swim Swimming Schools are equipped with UV systems, we are still required to maintain minimum chlorine levels as required by the health department. Although greatly reduced by the use of UV, eye irritation may still occur to some swimmers. We strongly recommend that all swimmers have a pair of goggles with their name written in bold on the head band. Most children will close their eyes under the water if they don't have goggles. Imagine learning to ride a bike with your eyes closed - you can do it, but progress is slow.
Goggles can make a large difference to the learning process. All State Swim schools have a swim shop which carry a large range of suitable goggles at reduced prices and our customer service team will be able to recommend a pair that is right for your child.
